Rubicon Interiors
We have completed several refurbishment contracts for Rubicon Interiors around central London. We were originally invited to give them a quote for their new offices/warehouse roof. On our site visit it came to our attention that the roof was already double skinned so was insulated to a certain degree. We then realised that their primary concern, condensation wasn't going to be a problem once they moved in and introduced heat into the building. After getting my briefing and reading the plans, we realised that one side was only going to be used for general storage, work area and parking for their vans with the remaining area having an open plan office design.
The unit was located right opposite one of the busiest station/railway lines going in and out of London and were having their vans parked and loading in the warehouse side. We realised there going to be considerable interference for the office staff working in that area from noise and air pollution. We advised that they would be wiser to focus purely on isolating the offices from the warehouse with the spray foam insulation rather than wasting money spraying the roof over the warehouse side, as it already had some insulation.
